Google asks for full access.
We only ever read.
When you connect, Google will show its standard permission screen. Here’s what it says, what we actually do, and what holds us to it.

What Google will show you
Propel Max wants access to your Google Account
See, edit, create, and delete your Google Ads accounts and data
That’s Google’s wording, not ours. Google offers just one permission for Google Ads, so every Google Ads tool shows this same screen. Google’s list of permissions (opens in a new tab)
What Propel Max actually does
- Only reads your data. It never creates, edits, pauses or deletes anything.
- No user added. We don’t notify anyone. Nothing in your settings changes.
- Access deleted when your audit’s done. Or remove it yourself any time in your Google Account (opens in a new tab).
- We use it to produce your audit and to follow up with you about it. Your Google Ads data is never sold or used for advertising. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms (opens in a new tab), it’s never used to train AI models.
Want Google to enforce it?
Sign in with a login that has Read-only access to your Google Ads account, and Google will block any change, whatever its screen says.
How Google Ads access levels work (opens in a new tab)Four things that hold us to read-only
It’s not just a promise. If we ever changed anything, here’s what would stop us, and how you’d know.
Google would shut us down
Google’s rules limit Propel Max to what we declared: reading your data for an audit. Using that access to make changes would break Google’s rules, and Google can suspend the app.

Our terms commit us in writing: we only read your data, and we use it to produce your audit and to follow up with you about it.
Read our termsChanging it would be a crime
A change you haven’t authorised can be a criminal offence under the Computer Misuse Act 1990.
Computer Misuse Act 1990 (opens in a new tab)Change history is locked
Every change to your account, including through the API, is logged by Google. Google keeps it for two years, and it can’t be edited from within Google Ads.
